Zunigsee (2112m) lies in the very SE of Venediger Group. So the vies from here go to NE to Granatspitz Group and to gloriuos Grossglockner behind. It's 1000m ascent from the parking above Matrei. On the route Zunigalm pasture provides food and shelter in the summer season. Even better views are at Grosser Zunig (2771m, that can be climbed from the lake on a marked route (August 1985)
