Tatras mountain rescue team in action
A boy fell some meters and broke his forearm just in steepest part of the trail to the saddle Bystre sedlo, just some meters below the saddle. They were just a 50 meters above us when it happened. The Tatras mountain rescue team were called for help. They did a good work. The dominating summit is Satan (2432 m). The date of the photo: 2nd august 2001.

Bad luck! By the way, is that true, that helicopter rescue in Tatras costs about 5000 EUR?

Those times (in 2001) the mountain rescue was for free.

A helicopter rescue can cost that much now, there were some cases, when 4000-5000 EUR must have been paid for the helicopter rescue.

What a good idea! The insurance costs only 0,7 EUR per day... That's incomparable to 5000 EUR in case of ... but rather these cases are not going to be your case! I wish you not to need the rescue !
