.....brings back fond memories of that route. You guys were on the Needle the same day Andy and I were on The Peak. On your descent, you must have seen all the bozos attempting the Needle late in the day. We tried to talk them out of it, but they kept going.

Please submit more photos of your climb, including a summit photo which I will put on the main page. Thanks.

What's cool is that most of the 1000 ft arete is done unroped with only a couple of roped pitches directly under the summit.

I've put up a couple more pics including a summit photo of me and Mark Sokol. This is a great site, I wish I would have found it alot sooner than I did.

Hi, I'm replying to a message you sent me about the Crestone Needle pics, that said you were in the same vicinity on Aug. 2 03.

My partner and I borrowed some iodine tablets from a few guys from Oklahoma and Arkansas at the lower south colony lake. I told them that I was from Tulsa and they said that they had a couple friends that were up on the peak or some where that were from Oklahoma. Was that you? It's a small world. I've got family in Tahlequah, Tulsa and Edmond.

I don't know if you're looking for a new route, but if you are, look into the Inwood Arete on Quandary.

We did that last weekend and came away with a newfound respect for that mountain. I'll have the pics up on the website in a few days.

I'm from Oklahoma, but Andy is from Ft. Collins. No...that probably wasn't us. As soon as we got back to camp on Aug 2, we hiked out to the car.

I would be interested in the Inwood Arete. Is it in a guidebook? Thanks.
