100m vertical done, 3900m more to go (Volcán San José)
Starting the long way up the summit to Volcán San José, which rises in the background (main summit in clouds). From the start in Lo Valdes (1850m) you need to cover 4000 vertical meters to the summit (5856m).

Thank you for your comment. I can very well remember the first time I saw the Andes with my own eyes when I was 19. It was exactly at this place, and I stood there in amazement. I returned there three times.
