hgrapidRoad?

Voted 9/10

That road, I assume "Skyline Drive" seems awfully high up. How could the elevation gain still be over 4,000 feet? Why not just park on that road, and you hike less than 2,000 feet up? Am I missing something?

Thanks Dan, roads like this are fairly common. It is similiar to Mount Evans or Pikes Peak in Colorado. I have done the route from the east along the road. It gets you to the summit but is not the most exciting route up the mountain.

I added a route for Parrish Creek from the west which starts directly from the valley and gains over 4,000 feet of elevation. I don't just climb mountains to get to the summit. I also enjoy the great views and exercise as well. Parrish Creek has all of those things.
