Ice Routes in Boulder Canyon [ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Ice Routes in Boulder Canyon
Some ice routes in the 'Lower Falls' area of Boulder Canyon. The solid red line is the direct route, (WI3 with a low angle slope joining the top falls) the dotted red line is an ice bulge variation (WI3+) and the yellow line is a dry tool/ mix route variation (M4+/M5). Black X's mark either anchors or areas where trees can be used with slings to set up and anchor. The solid red line route is approximately 50 meters. Ice changes countinually vary, changing the steepness and difficulty of the routes, but this is usually waht the area looks like when it is in.

Thanks Dow. I am always looking for photos or pages like this to find ice in myself, so I figured if I posted a few maybe others would be willing to share some of their secrets... Thanks for voting.
