A nameless, totally insignificant clifflet near Avalanche Lake Lean-to in the Adirondacks (at the base of a wooded peak marked on my map as TR MTN). The route name ("Nameless Direct") is something I just made up. We were just fooling around, went up a few feet and then downclimbed. No tree-grabbing though.
4. only one leash, no grips
5. down jacket way too warm for exertion like this
6. crampons not sharpened in three years
7. No previous experience or training
8. No idea what's under the snow at the landing
and oh yeah
9. NO ROPE OR PROTECTION OF ANY KIND
