Crater Rock [ Sizes: Orig | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Crater Rock
The hogback basically ends as it butts up against Crater Rock. A sulfur gas vent nearby gives this area a special smell of its own. The weather towards the west gave no indication of the cloud cap that was settling on the summit (behind me) You can also see the steam coming up from the fumarole on the right.

"As an adolescent I aspired to lasting fame, I craved factual certainty, and I thirsted for a meaningful vision of human life - so I became a scientist. This is like becoming an archbishop so you can meet girls."   --M. Cartmill
