It did.
What amazed me was the tent floor. The tent was brand new before we took off, but still it was impressive it didn't start to leak. The water underneath the tent was about 15-20 cm deep.

It did suck :)
At the time we were more concerned about being hit by lightning though. The highest point in that part of the (very flat) Syrian Desert was without doubt our tent.
