Congratulations!!
From my experience, these are hardest photos to make.

Hasn't voted | Thanks for the compliment. I used a really nice lens with nice focus ability to get this image. It did all the work for me. All I had to do was press a button. :) | | Posted Jan 25, 2007 9:29 am |
| Herb | Superb! | |
Voted 10/10 | Great shot & good job. I agree with justahiker - these pics are quite difficult to take! You're a good "hunter". | | Posted Jan 25, 2007 9:14 am |

Hasn't voted | Thanks. This was easy hunting since the bird was resting in its nest when I spotted it. When I approached the nest the bird took off in flight and made circles around me. I managed to get some pictures before I felt too guilty about disturbing its lunch break. | | Posted Jan 25, 2007 9:33 am |

| Arthur Digbee | Incredible! | |
Voted 10/10 | I find these shots hard enough when the bird is perching. It's not true that "all you did" was press the button! Great shot. | | Posted Jan 25, 2007 12:41 pm |

Voted 10/10 | I love good bird shots, and in flight too? Wow, Beautiful bird! | | Posted Jan 26, 2007 12:05 am |

Voted 10/10 | A very impressive shot. This isn't something you get to see very often, at least I don't. Thanks for sharing. | | Posted Jan 26, 2007 1:13 am |

Voted 10/10 | Ospreys are cool birds. Did you see her catch the fish too? | | Posted Jan 26, 2007 10:47 am |
 | | Colonelpyat | Re: Very cool shot | |
Hasn't voted | No, I didn't see her make the catch. I'd love to see that. | | Posted Jan 27, 2007 9:22 am |
| Mark Doiron | Excellent! | |
Voted 10/10 | Very difficult to get such a nice shot--sharp and with the bird with a virtually perfect pose. Good job! --mark d. | | Posted Jan 26, 2007 11:02 am |
| jhp1004 | What a beauty!! | | Voted 10/10 | It's so difficult to get this kind of shot. Normally you have to wait for ages. Or you are lucky in the splitsecond. Great photo.

Voted 10/10 | Great image, thanks for sharing. So hard to get good wildlife pics; much harder generally than landscape shots. | | Posted Jan 26, 2007 3:05 pm |

Voted 10/10 | Truly fantastic. I'm curious at what range did you take this shot? (how close did you get before she bolted?) | | Posted Jan 26, 2007 7:28 pm |
 | | Colonelpyat | Re: Excellent | |
Hasn't voted | Thanks. I'd guess this was about 100 feet. I'm not good at such guesses though. She never did bolt. This was taken pretty close to her nest and she flew circles around me, shouting obscenities. | | Posted Jan 27, 2007 9:26 am |
| Kenzo Okawa | Super shot! | |
Voted 10/10 | You took a big chance what to take photo of the bird on an ascending air current. And I respect your skill, of course! | | Posted Jan 30, 2007 9:18 am |
| phillent | Nice picture!! | | Hasn't voted | I ate one of these before! Great lunch! Tasted just like chicken! | | Posted Jan 13, 2009 4:19 pm |
