Mixed Deciduous Forest - PA
This is a mixed deciduous forest that is transitional between Allegheny Hardwoods, Hemlock/Beech and mixed oak forest types. Photo was taken along the Tanbark Trail on the Allegheny National Forest of Pennsylvania. There are nine different tree species visible in this photo. May 2001
