The view northwest from near Cache Col
Forbidden Peak is in the center with Sahale Arm directly below. In the basin to the right of Sahale Arm is Doubtful Lake. The double-peaks on the right are Sahale and Boston Peaks, Boston behind. Two trail fragments are visible. The zig-zagging trail in the center of the photo is the Sahale Arm trail from Cascade Pass. At the lower right is the Stehekin River trail as it approaches Cascade Pass from the east. The Ptarmigan Traverse route is over the lowest shoulder on the far end of the Cache Glacier below. August 3, 1988.
