The Clifford Griffin gravesite along the route to R & D Benchmark offers a fine view of the Clear Creek Valley, I-70 and popular conditioning objective Mount Sniktau. This dramatic spot is located as the route begins a single track trail entering Brown Gulch and bypassing the ruins of the 7:30 Mine that was owned by Griffin in the late 1800s. This great obelisk can be seen by drivers on the highway below. Summer, 2006, Colorado's Front Range.
