Sasso Nero in the past [ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Sasso Nero in the past
An old picture (August 1959) of the glacier of the Scwarzenstein/Sasso Nero (S-side). Compare with this (August 2004) and think about the climate change ! My father told me that in that time the best route to the refuge (placed on the saddle on the right side of the photo) was following the glacier (easy, without crevasse and not steep). Today the only reasonable route is a ferrata ("Kamin")
