24 Brynhild and Ladgunn Lakes [ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ]
24 Brynhild and Ladgunn Lakes

The highest of the Enchantment Lakes are densely packed. Here, Brynhild (Isolation) Lake and Ladgunn Lake (unnamed on the USGS maps) are separated by a slender berm of glacial debris.

I'm off route here, having taken a time-consuming “shortcut” down from Little Annapurna. The trail I'm looking for crosses the sparse meadow on the far side of Ladgunn Lake. I'll turn left toward Asgard Pass (Colchuck Pass on the map).
