White Coomb Summit Cairn [ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ]
White Coomb Summit Cairn
This is the very summit of White Coomb with its rather small Cairn at 821 metres. The views from up here are extensive from Cumbria in the Lake District, Merrick and Corserine in the Far Galloway Forest Park. Going North you can see the Lower Highland summits of Arrochar's Ben Ime, Ben Lomond and the summit of Ben Vorlich near Lochearnhead. Other summits are the various peaks of the Pentland Hills near Edinburgh and the Cheviot on the Northumberland Border Line in the South East.
In other words it is almost a 360-degree viewpoint.
The far background of this shot is dominated by the big round summit of Broad Law and the large crag of Lochcraig Head.

Voted 10/10

There is an album on SP called Cairns. Your photo would make a great addition to it. Nice shot!

Only just noticed your comment.
Sorry.
I added it to the cairns album quite a while a go now. Perfect album for it.
Cheers.
