Coastal Douglas Fir [ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Coastal Douglas Fir
At mid-slope on the north side of Humbug Mountain, old growth coastal Douglas fir rise above rhododendron, myrtle and other shrubs. Though the area is very moist, fire scars on the larger trees indicate that forest fires occasionally occur here. December 2005
