My climbing partner and I discovered this baby coyote on the trail on the way to Mt Lena. Upon closer inspection we found it had froze to death from the below freezing temperatures the night before. Such a sad, lonely little pup.~July 18,2006~

Voted 10/10 | but I guess that is the way of nature. I wonder how it wound up alone. Maybe it was weak and its mother abandoned it. Thank you for this little memorial to its short life. | | Posted Mar 4, 2007 2:27 pm |

Hasn't voted | Yeah, it was surely a sad moment to go from thinking it was sleeping to knowing it was dead. Cute little guy...one of the worst feelings is knowing a little animal died alone. Thanks for stopping by:) | | Posted Mar 4, 2007 3:15 pm |

Voted 10/10 | This is the "great" sense of photography. Emotions. And emotions preserve nature and the sense of to be a man. If one can be sad for this, you have done a great work. Compliments Olimpic. | | Posted Mar 5, 2007 8:31 am |

Voted 10/10 | at that picture and reading your words made me very, very sad. I understand how much more sad you had to feel being there in person. Poor little animal.
I like to think that if his/her soul is still somewhere in the universe, he/she may feel a little relieved to know that someone had merciful thoughts about him/her...
Thank You

Voted 10/10 | Such an emotional heart breaking picture...that has been on my mind since I 1st saw. Yet this sweet little pup looks so peaceful and content. It is a comfort knowing this precious soul is in a better place where nothing can ever harm her or him in this world we live in. I believe when we experience moments like this...it is a for a reason, some message & is a blessing.
Thank you for honoring this beautiful precious & sweet little mountain pup.

Voted 10/10 | I hate and love this picture, Byron. It hurts to see it and read the caption, but, as I've said before, I like that you've made a tribute to this little guy. I'd secretly hoped not to see it again, but here it is on another album. Thanks again for connecting with our compassion. | | Posted Apr 20, 2007 8:09 pm |

Hasn't voted | Your right Bob...it does hurt to see it, because of the suffering it must have felt being alone. If people were more compassionate this world would be different for sure. Thanks for the comment:) | | Posted Apr 21, 2007 3:28 pm |

Voted 10/10 | I think I must have been meant to see this sweet pup again..Last week I was going through my comments and I could not go by not looking at him or her again..so I looked at the picture & now today I see. My comfort is knowing this precious soul is in a much better place! It is a very emotional picture...and makes one wonder, yet it is also very peaceful and content. Yes..there needs to be more compassion in this world..it boggles my mind how a human could not be affected emotionally by this pup.
Beautiful precious little sweet coyote soul..Thank you again for honoring..I am now once again crying..
