Nice series for Vantage routes.

Wondering if the place might be dry this weekend - would be nice to check it out.

Thanks!

The weather forecast is currently for a high in the seventies with overcast skies and a chance of rain. Considering just low little precip this place gets per year, if it does rain, it won't last long. Weekends there are usually never a wash.

If you're looking for some nice 5.8 trad leads try Party in Your Pants on Sunshine Wall, and 272 on Middle East Wall, both are awesome! After 272, you can set up a toprope on the route in this picture.

If you want a warmup lead, try La Lharona 5.7 on Zig Zag Wall. The book says it's an OW, but that is not true. It is about 1/2 hand jambs, and 1/2 face holds, and is reasonably clean.

Have fun!

Thanks for the suggestions Martin!

Sounds much more appealing than going to Smith again and those crack photos you posted look like some fun climbing can be had there.

By the way, since we'd prefer not to dish out $$ for dog boarding, do they allow mutts there?

I believe so. I remember seeing a couple in the campground.
