This view shows a fairly high tide in the Gastineau Channel. The Juneau airport is in the center. Just beyond is Auke Bay. The Mendenhall Valley, where most Juneau residents live, is to the right of the airport out of sight. In the background are Lynn Canal, which leads to Haines and Skagway, and the Chilkat Range.
