I guess you guys made it to California to climb! I see you've doubled up on the gear there, are these pieces the last ones you get before going for the "crux mantle"? I can see why it would be a little unnerving in that case with a ledge underneath..

It's a nice fun route in a fairly compact pacakge (5 pitches). Yeah, these 2 pieces would keep me from crashing into the belay anchor. There's one more micro you can stick by about my knee level but that's probably just a "mental" piece. The mantle is not terribly hard but the prospect of the bad landing made me hesitate.

Peter - now I remember ... this was the route on Manure Pile Buttress we looked at back in May when it was raining and a creek was flowing down it :)
