From the amphitheater of the northern approach gully, Sergio Verdina leads the short first technical pitch to the notch (where the tree is above). We almost did this unroped, but backed off to a bathtub-sized alcove in the left wall and donned our tehnical climbing gear. This was not hard climbing. I'd rate it mid-fifth for a move or two then low fifth easing to 4th class. Another party of two took the south gully and their leader came to the belay tree above just as I got there. We would wind up climbing in unison the rest of the route. Fortunately, we didn't get in each others ways (the route's latitude helps). Photo taken Sept. 6, 2003.
