| Attempt to Pizzo Cefalone - 8 | [ Sizes: Orig | Med | Small | Thumb ] |
Coming back in the fog. We arrived at the start of the route too late: the sun was heating the rock too much and some pieces of snow and stones were falling down... The mountain didn't want us to climb it! (better: we must wake up earlier in the morning!) - 1st of April 2007

Voted 10/10 | This trip needs more time than expected. The ridge is long and tiring (up un down) in this snow condition (and in this warm season) and when you arrive at the base of the couloir could be too late. I had the same experience and we were uncertain if to continue or not. | | Posted Apr 3, 2007 9:07 am |

Hasn't voted | We wanted to climb Moriggia-Acitelli Couloir, but the risk of avalanche was too high for that kind of ascent (the summit of Corno Grande seemed very loaded of fresh snow...). We decided to go toward Cefalone, because of less objective dangers, but we lost too much time for decision. | | Posted Apr 3, 2007 10:08 am |
