Looking up the Pine Creek Valley from Pine Rock Ledge on the Bob Webber Trail. The Bob Webber trails is just below Slate Run, PA and offers some great views of the area just to the south of the PA Grand Canyon. September 2006.
The two peaks in the distance are Half Dome (left) and Hemlock Mountain (right). The incredible Black Forest Trail runs to the top of Hemlock Mountain and offers great views as well.

Voted 10/10 | solo backpacking trip was on the West Rim Trail in the late fall of 1988. It poured rain and I remember trying to build a small fire in my metal mess kit to cook over (inside my vesitbule). I nearly smoked myself out my own tent. Voted 10/10 | Once again, this picture is hanging on my bathroom wall. . . . the Pine Creek Gorge; my favorite spot in the whole world.
