Looking at the West Side of Hood from Illumination Saddle. I you are heading to Leuthold Couloir you would drop down below the bottom tip of the rock ridge that ends lower left in this photo, then climb up the other side of it into the Hourglass. If you are headed for Reid Headwall, you climb up this side of that same ridge, crossing the bergschrund you can see in the shadows. Yocum Ridge is the dominant skyline. (March 2007)
