Looking down on Death Canyon [ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Looking down on Death Canyon
This is the view into Death Canyon from near the trail junction with the Shelf. Late June 2005.

The picture suggests the "geography lesson" that you get on the Teton Crest Trail. Notice the various rock layers, differential erosion, and other features of the Tetons.

"As an adolescent I aspired to lasting fame, I craved factual certainty, and I thirsted for a meaningful vision of human life - so I became a scientist. This is like becoming an archbishop so you can meet girls."   --M. Cartmill
