When was this shot taken? All these knickers, boots and woolen clothing looks like something from the 40's! Very cool.

Goodness! That explains the webbing and harnesses. The other pics on this page are quite interesting as well, in a historical sort of way. Nice stuff!

thanks :)
that's the way we used to climb when we were young, I can still remember my first "baudrier" (kind of climbing belt) it was a "Renè Desmaison" belt and its metal rings suddenly opened while I was climbing an aided roof ... (I was almost 20 yo)
