Jen moves the Baby

While Jenny is climbing, Jen moves Jenny's baby away from rock. There was a juvenile rattlesnake coiled up, on the other side of the rock. Jenny didn't know about the snake, and Jen was taking great care not to alarm her. 5/5/07.

Now I can't use my kids as an excuse for staying off the rocks anymore.

I have enjoyed the captions with these photos. They are a nice diversion from my scrubbing of the bathrooms in anticipation of company arriving later.

It's a good thing Jenny didn't know!

	Hasn't voted	Babies are very portable before they begin walking. Once they are walking, it is a bit harder, but by the time they are three of four, you can start training your future rope gun. :)

	Voted 10/10	I started mine climbing between 4 and 7 years old . They could lead trad by the time they were 11 and 12 years old and my three children have all been on major technical climbs in Canada and USA with me it was a wonderful feeling to climb Devils Tower with my daughter and to climb the Weeping Wall in Canada with my son and to have them as adults thank me for the life of outdoor adventures they have had with me . I wish your friend Jenny all the best with her child in the out doors . And all the best of luck to you and your healing with cancer and hip replacement please keep us at summit posted on your healing. I enjoy your pictures and the stories behind them May you have a speedy recovery from Jerry

	Hasn't voted	It is great that you've had a chance to climb with your kids. Most of my friends with children take them climbing at an early age; training their future rope guns. Seriously, climbing is an important part of their lives and it is hard to imagine not including the kids. You just have to do things differently for a while - such as climb as trio, so there is always someone to watch the kid. Thanks for the good wishes. I'm having a lumpectomy in about a week - I think it will be easy compared to a hip replacement. After that, I will have a better idea of what further treatment I will need.
