Voted 10/10 | I've always wondered how do those things form like that? Great Shot! | | Posted Oct 28, 2007 2:46 pm |
| Ice Man Jerry Van | Nature it is amazing | |
Hasn't voted | Just picture a stalagtite and a stalagmite forming.Just speed it up with water and cold tempatures and warm temps. That area around Vail has some amazing ice formations along with rock routes and you have some classic mixed routes in Colorsdo. | | Posted Oct 28, 2007 5:07 pm |

Hasn't voted | Thank you for your rating and extra rating. I enjoy this climb every time I climb it. It was my third ice climb in Colo. to lead. That was the winter of 1996. For a short ice climb it was quite the adventure. I was almost to the top of the climb was 30feet from my last ice screw placment when my left ice axe placment came loose causing me to loose my crampoon front point placements, which caused me to swing around hanging from my right ice axe which did hold me or I would have taken a 60 foot fall. I was able to get some better placments and another ice screw in. Then finish the climb with no more mishaps | | Posted Jun 15, 2008 11:23 am |
