General Sherman Tree
The General Sherman Tree, a Sequoia tree in Sequoia National Park is the largest tree in the world, and generally considered the most massive organism. It is 275 feet tall (not the tallest tree in the world) and has a 36.5 foot diameter at the base. It is estimated to be 2,200 years old. The person on the far left provides some sense of scale.
