Graveside Matter Wall [ Sizes: Orig | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Graveside Matter Wall
Graveside Matter itself was actually named after a rappelling death in 1996 during the time this climbing area was developed. Quite a few routes were added since Todd Goss published his most recent guide book in 2006, so the area is still under developed by other crag standards. View of the slab routes looking northwest from The Adventure Climb, 5.10, arete. Graveside Matter, Cedar Canyon, May, 2007

""You cannot stay on the summit forever; you have to come down again. So why bother in the first place? Just this: What is above knows what is below, but what is below does not know what is above. One climbs, one sees. One descends, one sees no longer, but one has seen. There is an art of conducting oneself in the lower regions by the memory of what one saw higher up. When one can no longer see, one can at least still know.""   --Rene Daumal
