Exiting the Crux [ Sizes: Orig | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Exiting the Crux
shanahan96 and jamienellis exiting the 50 degree couloir that is the crux of the NW Face route on Mt Wilson. This is not a route for the casual 14er bagger, but with all of the private property concerns in Silver Pick Basin, this is the most reasonable and legal way to get Colorado's 48th highest peak these days. Proper experience with steep snow a must, without snow this would be loose and dangerous class 4 scree! Image taken May 26, 2007.
