Watch Tower, 5.9-5.10d [ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Watch Tower, 5.9-5.10d
View of the Watch Tower from the "annex" wall to the right. The first five routes are on Watch Tower itself, the remaining routes are on this annex to the right. Most are moderate 5.10 routes, but the three direct routes (left hand skyline) are more than twice the length of the remaining routes.
Watch Tower, Soul Asylum, Utah Hills, May, 2007

""You cannot stay on the summit forever; you have to come down again. So why bother in the first place? Just this: What is above knows what is below, but what is below does not know what is above. One climbs, one sees. One descends, one sees no longer, but one has seen. There is an art of conducting oneself in the lower regions by the memory of what one saw higher up. When one can no longer see, one can at least still know.""   --Rene Daumal
