:/ Over-sized or not, glacier glasses on this baby were MUCH appreciated! And "no," they went back to their generous owner upon completion of our second volcano summit that weekend. :)

Really Nice picture Deb! Did you see the Trinity Alps to the West? Shasta is beautiful..the last time I was there was when I was 15 years old!!! I was there snow skiing & got snow blinded and sun burnt!!! I was a typical teenager that wanted to look cute while out skiing so did not wear any sun glasses!!!Stupid Stupid. I miss the area up there..the Trinty Alps are beautiful...growing up in Humboldt County,Arcata, Ca. I did a few backpacking trips there.
Beautiful picture!

Thanks! I wasn't sure what the mtns were in the west but yes, they were very clear the 2 days we climbed. It is a beautiful area once you get off ground level. :) Definitely will plan another trip for a more technical route on Shasta.
=8O I could not believe how bright it was w/o glasses! We nearly went blind while putting on sunscreen!
