Aiguille de Sugiton [ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Aiguille de Sugiton
West face, voie l'Italienne, TD-, 65m.
My climbing mate in the 1st pitch. The route proceeds through the prominent slab just above my mate's head and exits through the dihedral visible a bit left above him.
This is in fact the most fascinating route I've ever climbed.
Taken spring 1979.

Thanx for your comment!
I like very much to remember these times.

By the way - what do you mean by "old school"? The gear may have changed since then, but the style of going such a route must be more or less the same (as far as I remember, there were very few intermediary bolts, and we secured using "coinceurs" - don't know the English word right now - especially in the 2nd pitch, see the other pic)?

Salut
Reinhard
