Massive avalanche off the Liberty Wall [ Sizes: Orig | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Massive avalanche off the Liberty Wall
We saw quite a few avalanches coming off the Liberty Wall on our approach to Thumb Rock, Tuesday, May 29, 2007. This one here was massive: the powder cloud went several hundred feet down the Carbon Glacier. In fact, we later talked to a team of 3 at Thumb Rock who were lower down on the Carbon and got a bit of snow dust from it (Photo: Miguel Forjan).
