View south from southwest slope [ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ]
View south from southwest slope
A view south from the rock shoulder to climbers' right of the start of the class 2 chute to the notch. This is basically the zone of contact between the darker granite of the base and the light orange granite of the upper half of the peak.

Visible in this shot are Mount Emerson center midground, with it's sharp summit on the left, and Mount Thompson, Mount Powell, and Point John on the right skyline.
