The view northwestward from...
The view northwestward from the Thornton Lake overlook at 4,900 ft. Lower Thornton Lake is at bottom. Thornton Peak (6,935 ft) is just left of center. Mt. Triumph is visible through the 5,840+ ft saddle where camp is located. You can see the ravine/gully you must ascend to get to this saddle. Photo taken Sept. 28, 2003.
