The class 3, 4, or 5 final... [ Sizes: Orig | Small | Thumb ]
The class 3, 4, or 5 final...
The class 3, 4, or 5 final approach (depending on what route you take) to the notch at the base of the Northeast Ridge Route. We took the class 3 diagonal cut at lower right then turned left on the red slabs (class 3 mostly but with exposure). The final scramble to the notch is on loose scree. The short first pitch gendarme is visible just left of the notch lowpoint. Photo taken Sept. 28, 2003.
