Beaver Falls Overview
An overview of Beaver Falls. The travertine terraces are created as a result of the precipitation of calcium carbonate in Havasu Creek, creating the lovely blue pools.

I haven't been all the way to Beaver falls, but the water in the Havasu creek really is that blue green color, due to the high mineral content.

As I said, I've never hiked all the way to Beaver Falls, but when I was in Havasu Canyon, the walls struck as pretty red (or orangy) depending on the time of day and lighting conditions . . .

You need to make a trip out to canyon country! You would enjoy it, lots of orange and red rock.
