Puffin hunter [ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Puffin hunter
A puffin hunter catching one in his net (look close and you can see the blurry image of a puffin flying into his net). Strict hunting permits make sure that only about 1% of the population can be taken. Puffins are an expensive delicacy in Iceland. What you can't see in this photo is the pile of puffins behind the man. He would catch the puffin, pull it down, wring its neck and place it in a pile behind him in a matter of about 2 seconds. As far as hunting goes (and I am not a hunter), one of the more humane methods I've seen.
