Haydar and Shirley on the approach to Red Mountain from Crater Lake. The route we chose to reach the ridge is at the center of the photo and follows the center tree-ridge (Oct. 12, 2003).

Voted 10/10 | We also climbed near the center tree ridge, mostly just north of it. However, we descended south of those tree ridges in loose talus and scree. However, there was precious little "good" scree, unfortunately. Great pix!

My pics are OK at best - the digital camera seems to be more forgiving (for every 10 photos I shoot, 1 will be OK) which is very good when you have a total absence of skill and talent like me!
The route was pretty time consuming....three steps forward, two sliding steps back much of the time.
