I think this may be a Sagebrush Checkerspot. Anicia's have some white on them. Some more, some less but there are always a few white "checkers" on them.

OK. Will remember that. The books are confusing.
I saw a female Clodius Parnassian at very close range coming off Saddle Mountain, Clatsop County, Oregon, this afternoon. That was the first Parnassian I was sure of. Learning as I go.
