South face descent [ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ]
South face descent
Heading down the south face of Horn. It's about 1600 feet down to the Dry Lakes with the top few hundred being a mix of easy talus and tundra. This shows what the lower section is like. Steep but not too bad. Worth doing as the hike out via Dry Creek is nice and the lakes are scenic. Fluted Peak in the background. 7-17-2007.
