Voted 10/10 | Apparently this rescue took place in the St. Jean Couloir on October 6, 2003. A 48 year old male climber fell and broke his leg and wrist, and his partner went for help. The SAR team decided that a carry-out was inadvisable, and requested the helo. The closest available was in Pendleton Oregon, and did not arrive on scene until Monday morning (the accident occured Saturday afternoon). Here are the details. | | Posted Nov 2, 2003 9:13 pm |

Hasn't voted | Hey thanks for posting the photo! I was up there the day before the Chinook came in (when the SAR team first arrived) and didn't get to see the final rescue. | | Posted Dec 15, 2003 1:28 pm |
