Intermediate Tower on Pilot Knob [ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Intermediate Tower on Pilot Knob
This is where the guide books call for rope. If conditions were wet or rotten snow, the exposure could get you. I wouldn't let no having a rope stop me from finding out, you are very close to the summit here. The tower between this and the summit is an arch. You must go left under the arch across a descending hand and foot ledge that is very easy. Do not try to climb the abrupt tower with the arch.

It is a bit exposed, but this looks worse than it really is as far as the "climbing" goes. It's more like careful walking.
