Low on the East Ridge of Eldorado Peak. Most of the Torment-Forbidden ridgeline is visible (or would be visible w/o clouds) in the right half, as is the Forbidden Glacier and north ridge of Forbidden (ridgeline at center of photo; July 2007).

The arete was very very fun -- lots of slogging to get there but the final 100 feet were enjoyable. Can't imagine better alpine views (in lower 48) than N. Cascades!! | | Posted Jul 31, 2007 11:49 am |
