Exposed ridges [ Sizes: Orig | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Exposed ridges
The crossing of the sharp and super-exposed western ridge of Monte Coglians/Hohe Warte is one of the most exiting passages of the Carnic Alps.
Here you can see in the foreground Cima Lastrons del Lago/Seewarte ( 2595 m ) and in the backround the steep walls of Monti di Volaia/ Biegenbirge. Below them the green Obere Wolayer Alpe.

...crossing the whole western ridge or only from the point, where the north ferrata comes up on it?

I mean the secured path. I'm not sure but I think the ferrata crosses almost all the ridge of Monte Coglians, then there's a deep notch that separates it from Cima Lastrons del Lago.
