Speaking about geology - doesn't Box Elder have a unique shape to it? I don't know if you're familiar with Mt. McLoughlin in S. Oregon - its entire north face was "scooped out" by glaciers. Similar to what happened to the north face of Box Elder. Bet that uplifting was involved also. Take care! Hope you guys get a lot of white stuff very soon!

	Hasn't voted	I'd guess that Box Elder's unique positioning, all by itself between canyons, is the biggest factor in its appearance.

	Hasn't voted	Well, here's a shot with that ridge looking back at White Baldy from Box Elder. It looks like your photo and this one are not even of the same ridge, it splits. Yours is more prominent in my newer photo, and is definitely sheer on the other side. White Baldy is massive!
