BROKEN HAND PASS

SP member mtnhiker13 ascends the steep and direct route to Broken Hand Pass, which provides access to the standard South Face / East Couloir Route of Crestone Needle. Expect some very loose rock through this stretch and some almost Class 3 scrambling to reach this narrow pass, a tiny saddle just north of Broken Hand Peak. Sangre De Cristo Range, Summer, 2002.
